The 43rd Annual Downtowners Street Fair is almost here. Street Fair brings together 180 Arts, Craft, and Food Vendors to Downtown Bismarck for two days of fun. Hours for the 2016 Street Fair are Friday Sept 16 (10am-8pm) and Saturday Sept 17 (9am-6pm). Roads in the Street Fair area will be closed after 5pm on Thursday, vehicles left in those areas will be towed. In addition to the great vendors, there is the Monster Mural Kid’s Art Activity (sponsored by American Bank Center), JT’s Inflatable Games, The Barrel Train, and local musicians playing at the Busker’s Corner. The Downtowners Street Fair is also a long standing fundraiser for the Downtowners Association and numerous service groups, churches, booster clubs, boy scout troops, and area non-profits through vending activities. Member Bismarck Cancer Center will be hostingPaint the Town Pink, on Saturday, October 8 from 10am-5pm. Paint the Town Pink, an event to shop, eat and drink at participating downtown Bismarck-Mandan businesses while supporting the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation. All donations stay local and help make a meaningful difference by providing financial support to cancer patients in need, and support for programs that assist the whole person. Member Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra announces the first concert of the 2016-2017 season. The theme for this year is “Visions of Grandeur”. The season begins on Saturday, September 17 at 7:30 pm at the Belle Mehus Auditorium with the concert, “Great Expectations.” Musician and athlete Tony Arnone makes his debut with the BMSO for this performance.
