Quiet Rail Zone and Ramp Move Forward

The Bismarck City Commission voted Monday to move both a Downtown Quiet Rail Zone and a 6th Street Ramp forward. Commissioners moved to grant City Administrator Wocken the ability to start negotiating with BNSF on Quiet Rail Zones for 3rd, 5th, and 12th St crossings.

They also moved to continue with plans on a proposed 6th St ramp and resume work with the original architect.  They will also work with the original engineering company or send out an RFP for another firm if the originals do not want to continue the work.

These two project had been frozen for almost three years while the TIF Fund went through litigation
