Bismarck Beacon “Plugged-In” Presented by Capital Credit Union “Grow With Us”
Socially On-board Into the Bismarck Community Purpose: We know new employees and those returning to the area are looking to “plug in” to Bismarck socially– but how? And where do you find all the information?
Bismarck Beacon “Plugged In” is a TedX style event where multiple Bismarck organizations present opportunities for employees to socially ‘plug in’, including sports/recreation, arts, volunteering, family/kids events, and more! The purpose is for our community to help plug you in, making Bismarck your forever home!

Google Workshop(s)!
ND Women’s Business Center and The Downtowners and partnering up to host two Google workshops. The workshops will give you tools to make your business work for you, instead of the other way around. BONUS, we’ll even provide a light breakfast. First, Google is here to teach you how to use “Data to Drive Business Growth”. Showing you how to increase your bottom line.

Main Street Summit


Paint the Town Pink-This Saturday!
Paint the Town Pink is Bismarck’s premiere downtown community fundraising event for cancer. The community is encouraged to shop, eat and drink at participating businesses on Saturday, October 12 from open to close and celebrate with a variety of fun downtown activities including a family-friendly Paint the Town Pink Party. The party includes food, live music, silent auction, cancer awareness information and talks. The party will be held in the building on the corner of Main & 4th Street from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.

Tickets to attend the after party and to receive shopping discounts at participating stores are $10. Tickets can be purchased online, at the Bismarck Cancer Center, or at Lillians. All proceeds benefit those battling cancer in our community.

Possible Community Recreation Complex
Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) has scheduled a public open house and a presentation session on Wednesday, October 16 to present conceptual plans for a proposed Indoor Community Recreation Complex in Bismarck. A recreation complex was identified as a community priority during the recently completed Facilities Master Plan.
The Open House will be from 10am-4pm at the Capital Ice Complex, 1504 Wichita Drive. This is a drop-in format with BPRD staff and project consultants on site to explain facility elements and programming plans and to receive community feedback. There will be a Presentation Session at 6:30pm to introduce the initial facility plans and programming opportunities. Community feedback and input will also be welcomed at this evening session.
These public input sessions are part of BPRD’s Feasibility Study to determine the appropriate combination of facility elements to meet the programming needs identified during the recently completed Facilities Master Plan.
