State of the Downtown Event Nov. 14

Join us for the next State of the Downtown 2017 event at Dakota Stage Theater! State of the Downtown will highlight downtown projects and initiatives, successes of the past year, upcoming news, and a first look at our 2018 Downtown Partnership program. A portion of the program will be honoring two members with the Volunteer of the Year and the June & Jim Thompson Downtown Leadership Awards. The full State of the Downtown program runs (8am-9:15am). State of the Downtown is free to the our Downtown Business Association of Bismarck members, and $15 for non-members. Networking breakfast will start at 7:30am. Member Missouri Valley Family YMCA is pleased to announce their partnership with the Mighty Missouri Coffee Company to bring new coffee shop location to the lobby of the YMCA. Mighty Missouri Coffee Co., LLC is a wholesale specialty coffee roasterie that serves locally roasted hot and cold coffee drinks, fresh-pressed juices, smoothies and other specialty beverages. Lunch options will include fresh-made bagels, waffles, salads, and assorted sandwiches. The coffee shop is expected to be fully operational sometime this winter and will be open to the public as well as Y members.

Member Bismarck Parks and Recreation District would like to invite Bismarck area children, pre-school through grade 5, to the All-City Halloween Party on Friday, October 27 from 6-8pm. Located in the World War Memorial Building, the Halloween Party will include activities from carnival booths to treats and prizes! Admission for the event is $1 per child and free for adults. Member AARC/Seeds of Hope will open the Myrt Armstrong Christmas Store on Friday, October 27. Located in the lower level of Seeds of Hope, the Christmas store features a vast assortment of unique holiday gifts and decorations. Donations of holiday items are appreciated now and throughout the year. Sale proceeds are used by AARC in its mission to serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and their children in a seven-county area in south-central North Dakota.

Fireflour Pizzeria and Coffee Bar is now offering a daily breakfast menu! Fireflour has recently added a pastry chef/baker to their staff. Breakfast will be served from 7-11am, Monday – Friday and 8-11am on Saturday. Check out the breakfast menu here!
