ND Downtown Conference

Over 220 community members attended the first public keynote address during the 4th Annual ND Downtown Conference Oct 15-16. Keynote Speaker Doug Burgum presented on building Vibrant Communities in North Dakota, centering in on vital Downtowns and Main Streets.  
70 attendees from around North Dakota continued on to day 2 of the conference with 3 presenters touching on statewide Downtown programs and building walkable/liveable cities.  All of the programs are now online and can be found through our website www.downtownbismarck.com.

Terra Nomad Company has announced plans to open at 514 E Main Ave in the former Discontent space.  Their website describes the new Bismarck business as cafe and concept store.  Find out more at www.terranomadcompany.com
Pinch & Pour, a Fargo balsamic vinegar and infused oil store, has also announced plans for a location in Downtown Bismarck.  Find them on Facebook for more information. 
A November 19 public hearing has been set to discuss new Downtown Bismarck zoning and design guidelines.  The meeting begins at 5pm in the City/County Building.  Comments and attendance are welcome.

New Face at the Downtowners


We want to welcome the newest intern at the Downtowners Association Madison Cermak! She’ll be working on specific projects through the end of 2014.  Madison is a recent graduate from NDSU earning a BS in Public Relations and Advertising with a Minor in Business Administration.
