Small Business Saturday is an effort to get encourage holiday shoppers to spend their money locally. The Downtowners are again Neighborhood Champions for the Bismarck community, and we are so excited to see the event continue to grow every year. Breakfast with Santa is back for a fifth year! Bring your little ones out to enjoy the kickoff of the most wonderful time of the year with breakfast, face painting, arts & crafts, activities, and of course, a chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Don’t forget to bring your camera to photograph your little one with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and visit with Santa’s elves.

Thursday, November 16th at 7 pm is Supernatural Trivia at Jimmy V’s. It is free to play, but spots fill up quickly so get there early to reserve your spot!

Little Kids, Big World: Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving is coming soon! Hear a fun story about a turkey, and construct one to take home.

These interactive 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are asked to meet at the east entrance information desk.

“Little Kids, Big World” classes, led by educator Sarah Fox, are offered in a large public space with social distancing considerations. Each child is provided with their own supplies.

The event will be this Saturday, November 18th at 2 pm and 3 pm, and Tuesday, November 21st at 10 am.

Ballroom Dance Basics

Thursday, Nov. 30, 6:30 PM: Introduction to Foxtrot, Meeting Room A

Whether you are a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library invites you to join them for an evening of fun and excitement at Ballroom Basics. Their experienced instructor from Northern Plains Dance will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals of “lead and follow,” “basic footwork patterns,” and musicality in various popular dance styles, including Waltz, Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Salsa, and Argentine Tango.

Move It Or Lose It

Get your body moving in a safe and fun environment for 60 minutes. Explore movement, improve mobility, posture, balance, and gait. Incorporating dance elements with corrective exercise, this class is free and open to anyone who is experiencing limited mobility or balance issues. Led by instructors from Northern Plains Dance.
