Downtown Event Season 2015


Summer is always a busy time for events throughout the Bismarck community.  Keep your eye out for these upcoming events Downtown.
Downtowners Art & Wine Walk June 25.  Stroll Downtown Bismarck while sampling wines, taking in unique art, and connecting with Downtown business owners.
Downtowners German Days July 17-18.  Celebrate Bismarck’s German heritage at the Historic Depot lot.  Two days of German food, entertainment, and beer.  All ages welcome!
Bismarck Urban Harvest Thursdays starting after the 4th of July holiday & part of August.  Your local neighborhood revolution- Season 11.  Take in farmers market produce, locally made crafts, food, and entertainment at this weekly event on 4th & Broadway.
Downtowners Street Fair September 18-19.  The 42nd year of this fall event in Downtown Bismarck.  Over 180 vendors line the streets of Downtown Bismarck Friday and Saturday.

Association News 


Member Dakota Stage Ltd. announced its 37th Season. The season will open on Oct 8, 2015. Season subscriptions start as low as $80 ($118 regular single ticket prices) for all five Main Stage performances. Dakota Stage will continue its highly successful Stand-up Comedy Series as well as the Flashback Film Series. They will also be producing several different programs that will offer performance opportunities for children. Abused Adult Center (AARC) has hired a special events coordinator Brenda Bry. Brenda most recently worked for five years at the American Cancer Society promoting programs and services. AARC needs volunteers in many areas, if anyone is interested in volunteering or learning more they can contact Brenda at AARC (701) 222-8370 or by email atbrendab@btinet.net .

Downtown News

Construction season has spurred a few projects in Downtown Bismarck. The City of Bismarck is continuing to add their pedestrian street lighting Downtown. Broadway Ave and some portions south of Broadway are getting the decorative pedestrian lighting in 2015.  When completed, the lighting look will be contiguous in the walk-able areas of the city center.
J & R Vacuum and Juniper LLC are both in process of restoring brick facades in the Downtown area.  J & R Vacuum is on 3rd & Main.  Juniper LLC building holds The Toasted Frog and Sweet Treats on the main level and was the home of Lucas Department Store at one point on 4th and Broadway.
