Celebrating 100 years!
Bismarck Veterans Memorial Library will be celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year! The library has been a wonderful contribution to Bismarck and they continue to be a big part in connecting our community to many resources. The Library will be reminiscing, sharing and celebrating the past, present and future with the Bismarck and Burleigh County community throughout the year. A number of exciting of events will be planned as part of this celebration, including the 100th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, May 13 from 2pm-4pm at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Library.

Tinee & Trendee is a children’s boutique now located in Downtown Bismarck. Tinee & Trendee carries everything you need for a nursery as well as children’s clothing. Size ranges from preemie up to size 8 for boys and girls. Located at 231 W Broadway, right across from the Dairy Queen.

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Member MSA United Way will be supporting Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 13 in Bismarck from 8am-7pm. Place your food by your mailbox and local volunteers and postal workers will collect donations to give to local pantries!
Member Sixteen03Main Events will hold the 3rd Annual 1940’s USO Night hosted by the Dakota Leathernecks Detachment #1419 of the Marine Corps League on Saturday, May 20. This charity-fundraiser is hosted in recognition with Armed Forces Day. With a throwback to World War II, the 1940s USO Night is a night of fun, nostalgia and fundraising with proceeds supporting area Veterans in need! Attendees are encouraged to dress in period attire (not required) – service members are invited to wear their uniforms. Ticket includes social, dinner and dance. The 6th Annual Downtowners Art & Wine Walk tickets sales start May 15, 2017 at 8am! The Art & Wine Walk is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 in Downtown Bismarck. Mike Seminary, Mayor of the City of Bismarck, proclaimed May 15-19, 2017 as Bike to Work Week. The Mayor encourages the community to ride their bicycles to commute to work or run errands during that week. The City of Bismarck and Go! Bismarck- Mandan are promoting a greater public awareness of the importance of commuting by bicycle, bicycle operation and bicycle safety education as a means of reducing dependence of automobiles, reducing vehicle congestion and promoting a healthier and more connected community.
