NRI Applications Open

Applications are now open on the City of Bismarck’s website. Thanks to Capital Credit Union who joined Gate City Bank in supporting the program, the program now has a loan capacity of $2,750,000. The program’s purpose is to revitalize and improve Bismarck’s existing neighborhoods by offering low-interest loans to homeowners. You may be eligible for the program if your home is at least 30 years old and valued at $250K or less. More information can be found at the link

The First Annual Downtown Burger Slam presented by First Western Bank starts April 1st. Eight downtown restaurants will compete for the title of Best Burger throughout the month of April. MDU Resources 100th Anniversary

March 14th marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of MDU Resources Group, Inc., and its legacy of success, not only as a power producer for 157 communities in North Dakota, but as a critical community pillar for Bismarck. To celebrate, a proclamation celebrating the 100th anniversary was read at the start of  March 12th’s regular City Commission meeting.

Paw Art Showcase

Join Bismarck Art & Galleries for this fun exhibit and opening reception featuring hundreds of pets drawn by Bismarck Public School students! This event is a collaboration between Bismarck Public Schools, the Bismarck Public Schools Foundation, the Central Dakota Humane Society and Bismarck Art & Galleries Association.

View hundreds of works of art and meet many of the students who have drawn them at the opening reception. You may even meet a few animals needing homes. Snacks and beverages will be served and there will be a short program at 5:30 pm.

Little Kids, Big World: You’re “Marvel”ous

Superheroes are found all around us. View the new “Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross” exhibit, and imagine being a superhero. Design your own superhero mask to take home.

Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the free interactive learning series “Little Kids, Big World” at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. These interactive 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are asked to meet at the west entrance information desk.

The event will be Wednesday, March 27th at 10 am.
