The Sharing Economy Comes to Bismarck…
Two popular ride-sharing systems have now expanded to some major cities in North Dakota. Lyft and Uber, both international transportation network companies that provides in-app ridesharing services are now up and running in the Bismarck area. Any android or iOS user can now download the Lyft and Uber mobile app.The app will match you with friendly local drivers to take you from point A to point B with no hassle! Both Lyft and Uber are currently looking for drivers in the Bismarck community. Drivers must pass certain criteria’s for the safety of the passengers and to meet state-specific requirements. Member Northern Plains Dance presents The Butterfly Ball on Saturday, April 8 at the Radisson Hotel Bismarck. The Butterfly Ball is a dance for girls ages 5-12 as well as dads or that special man in their lives. Guests can purchase a standard dance ticket, or a deluxe dinner and dance ticket. This event sells out quickly so be sure to buy your tickets as early as possible. The event will feature dinner (optional), a fun photo booth, crafts, and formal photos for all in attendance available online after the event – no need to pre-order. Member Bismarck Art & Galleries Association (BAGA) will hold their 31st Annual Wine Tasting Event on March 10 at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club. Sample over 70 fine wines and enjoy complimentary hors d’ oeuvres. A silent auction will take place with many items to browse while there. The 64th Annual North Dakota State DECA will be held at the Bismarck Ramkota Hotel, March 12-14, 2017. More than 400 students are expected to attend the conference. Business people are needed to judge the event. All materials are provided for judges, including an evaluation form and how to select the top student performers. DECA is encouraging coworkers, friends or business colleagues to assist as a judge at the conference, as 120 judges are needed.
