4th of July Celebration
2015 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, kicking the season off with their Fourth of July Spectacular at the North Dakota State Capitol Mall. The program will feature pre-show entertainment by Shawn Oban, beginning at 8:00 pm. The Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Beverly Everett, will begin performing pops and patriotic songs at about 9:00pm. The BMSO special guests this year Six Appeal. The evening ends with a spectacular fireworks display set against the backdrop of the beautiful North Dakota State Capitol. Virtual Day of OTA
On June 30, between 9am-9pm, OTA will host a One Day of OTA extravaganza, including interviews from around the region via Livestream, curated Twitter chats with some of the world’s premier creatives and series of events that evening to celebrate the local homegrown talent of our area.
From 9am-5pm, they will be based in Sioux Falls, hosting 15-minute interviews with regional creatives and community builders at the top of every hour via Skype. After, from 5pm-9pm you are welcome to attend Co:Studio, 200 W. Main Ave, to watch Bismarck, Rapid City and Rochester creatives discuss community work livestream. You can follow all interviews with #WeAreOTA.

Update on Ordinance #6111
A revised mobile vendor ordinance was amended and approved by all five Bismarck City Commissioners on June 23, this allows mobile vendors to use designated areas downtown and throughout Bismarck. Private property owners still have the option to have vendors operate on their property as long as the vendors meet health standards. Visit www.bismarck.org for more info.
