June 27th Downtown Bismarck News

Pollinator Planting

Tuesday, June 25th we had our 5th Downtown Pollinator Planting! With the help of volunteers from Petro-Hunt, Downtowners Staff, Capital Credit Union, AGL Landscape Architects P.C., City of Bismarck Admin & Forestry Departments, Mission Bismarck, Carden Custom Framing, Judy Ness, Northern Plains National Heritage Area, Xerces Society, and Bismarck Beacon Team, we were able to plant hundreds more native pollinator plants in five more downtown planter beds. These pollinator plants are essential parts of our local ecosystem, providing a habitat for several species of pollinators, as well as bringing beauty to Downtown!

Huge thank you also to our sponsors: Petro-Hunt, MDU Resources Group, Inc., Humanities ND, Northern Plains Heritage Foundation, Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation, and ND Game and Fish.
