Crowds for German Days
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the Downtowners 1st Annual German Days event. This was also the first event programmed in the Depot parking lot, the site of a future community gathering space. Having the event right in the heart of Downtown Bismarck made for a scenic venue. Keep your eyes and ears open for more events and gatherings to take place there. A HUGE thank you to our sponsors and supporters who worked to make German Days a great success! Please support these businesses that support these community events:
Jerome’s Distributing, McQuade Distributing, Hertz Equipment Rental, Sam’s Club of Bismarck, Coca-Cola, BNC National Bank, Kupper Automotive- Volkswagon, Dakota Community Bank & Trust, Image Printing, Spiffy Biffs, Dakota Fence, Townsquare Media, KFYR-TV, Depot Properties, Bismarck Parks & Rec, Bobcat of Mandan, CJ Rigging, all our vendors, volunteers, and our great performers!
See you next year!

CORE and Renaissance Zone Applications for various Downtown projects have been moving through the process at the city level. Preliminary plans for a bar/restaurant at 114 N 3rd St in the former Historic Prince Hotel (Blue Blazer Lounge Location). Owners of Lucky Ducks Deli & Catering and The Pond have a purchase agreement on the former Corwin Churchill Appliance building directly north of their existing businesses. Initial plans indicated various dining spaces. A bank new to Bismarck has also asked the Bismarck Renaissance Zone Authority to consider amending the city’s development plan to have up to a 3 block Renaissance Zone island allowed by state law. Discussions on that request are continuing.
