Multicultural Welcome Event

Thank you to the hardworking organizations and organizers who helped make this past Multicultural Welcome Event another success. The weather held for a beautiful evening out at the Landing, and we are grateful to everyone who showed up to make our new neighbors feel welcome in our beautiful community.

Construction Continues Downtown

Sawing for removals is continuing this week, moving west to east. The contractor has poured repairs from Washington Street to 1st Street and will continue once sawing operations are out ahead of them. The joint sealing crew will be looking to begin operations of removing old sealant and resealing in the areas that have been completed. With the heat the past week and a half, the sawing operation has seen slowed progress due to the increased difficulties with blades binding in the pavement, but have found a method to keep them moving as effectively as possible.

Please continue to support our downtown businesses despite the construction. Thanks to the Parking Authority for the free two hours of parking at the 3rd and Main and Parkade Ramps! As a reminder, 3rd and Main is also free daily from 4pm-2am.

Capital A’Fair Aug 1-2

Hosted by Bismarck Art & Galleries Association (BAGA)

Join us for one of North Dakota’s favorite summer traditions! Capital A’Fair returns to the beautiful North Dakota State Capitol grounds for a weekend filled with art, food, and live entertainment. Browse and shop from 100+ artists featuring everything from painting and photography to ceramics, jewelry, and more—all handmade and one-of-a-kind. Enjoy a wide variety of food vendors, relax with live music and performances, and take in the vibrant, creative atmosphere. Bring the whole family and explore interactive art experiences, including a Kid Zone with activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Relevé on the Rooftop

Come enjoy a one-of-a-kind evening filled with great food, gorgeous views, and inspiring performances. All proceeds from Relevé on the Rooftop will benefit Northern Plains Dance and its mission. The evening begins at 7:30PM with live music and interactive fundraising stations. Dance performances start at 8:15PM, showcasing new contemporary works in an open-air setting — perfectly timed to conclude with a stunning North Dakota sunset.

Be a part of the Downtowners and join over 200 organizations and property owners that are committed to our Historic Downtown Bismarck.

We continue to advocate for the city center, creating infill development and supporting the business climate and residential access. Our staff and/or board attend and participate in pertinent government meetings, communicate with applicable organizations, and work to provide a voice for the Downtown area and our membership. Member participation on the Downtowners committees and events is encouraged.

Each year, we organize Downtown events and fundraisers such as Street Fair, Small Business Saturday Neighborhood Event, The Downtowners Art & Wine Walk, Downtowners Walking Map, Burger Slam, Golf Fundraiser and much more. Downtown Bismarck is a destination, and we invite you to be a part of this revival.

Our social profiles have been a great marketing tool for us to get fast and useful information out to our members and the whole community about news and events. Our official websites have also been useful online tools to find out about everything Downtown.
