Renaissance Zone Renewed
All taxing entities in Bismarck have approved the City of Bismarck’s 5 Year Renaissance Zone Program renewal. The Bismarck City Commission, Park Board, and School Board all voted unanimously in support. The Burleigh County Commission supported the renewal 3-2, with commissioners Woodcox, Jones, and Peluso in support. The Downtowners supported the renewal and gave support testimony. Thank you to our businesses and board members for their support.
Member Glance Spa & Salon was approved by the Downtown Design Review board to complete a mural on the north side of their building on north 4th Street. Glance owner Andrea Birst has been working with a local artist to design the mural. Generally murals and other art work on buildings in the Downtown must go on non-facade facing brick. Glance will be adding the mural to cinder-block non-street facing wall that was recently exposed after the 411 building was purchased and demolished. Keep and eye out for progress on Downtown’s news mural!
