Downtown Bismarck is About to Get Crazier!

Bismarck Partners in Planting Program

\Community minded sponsors have partnered together with the City of Bismarck to create the Partners in Planting Program- providing funds for a matching grant to help home and business owners plant street trees. This grant offers a direct reimbursement to citizens and businesses who plant trees in the city’s boulevard area adjacent to their property. To participate contact the Forestry Division to request Permit to Plant Trees on Public Street Right-of-way.

Bismarck Police Tip 411 Text and App

Developed by tip411, the Bismarck PD app puts a powerful new crime-fighting tool into the hands of community members of all ages. The Bismarck PD app is available for download for free via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by visiting the Bismarck Police Department website at BismarckND.gov/Police. The new Bismarck PD app enables the public to share an anonymous tip with police and lets officers respond back to create an anonymous two-way conversation.

The Bismarck PD app and tip411 anonymous text a tip system are 100% anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before police see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender.

Residents in Bismarck without a smartphone will can share information with police by sending an anonymous text tip via their cell phone to police by texting keyword BISPD and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411). Anonymous web tips can also be submitted through the department’s website at BismarckND.gov/Police.

North Dakota Humanities Council event GameChanger, an annual ideas festival focused on a major event or issue significantly changing the face of our world.  This year’s focus is titled ‘American Dream-Finding ourselves through the Four Freedoms’, explores Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear. Four GameChangers will take the stage to represent each of these freedoms and provide their insight into how Roosevelt’s vision has—or hasn’t—been realized. The event is Saturday, October 5 at Belle Mehus. Advanced tickets are limited.
