Downtowners Welcome New Board
At the 2019 Downtowners Annual Meeting, three new board members were elected and two outgoing board members were thanked. Jeff Japel and Brooke Walter both served on the board of directors, Jeff as director then treasurer and Brooke as director named Volunteer of the Year.
New board members elected to the board as directors include: Taylor Daniel of Daniel Companies, Anne Cleary owner of White Lace Bridal/Black Tie Optional, and Josh Ulmer of BNC National Bank. Dave Ehlis, President of American Bancor was also elected to the executive team as treasurer. Please take the time to thank these members for serving the Downtowners Association and volunteering their time and talents.

Impact Foundation’s Giving Hearts Day
Impact Foundation’s Giving Hearts Day is a one day fundraising event for non-profit organizations throughout the region. Several members in the Downtown Association will be participating in Giving Hearts Day including:

- Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation
- Bismarck State College Foundation
- Heartview Foundation
- Humanities North Dakota
- Northern Plains Dance
- Youthworks
- Missouri Valley Family YMCA

Giving Hearts Day was started in 2008 by Dakota Medical Foundation and Impact Foundation as the region’s first one-day virtual fundraising event.
