First Annual Downtown Bismarck Burger Slam

We are so excited to be organizing Bismarck’s very first Downtown Burger Slam. Participating restaurant will create a unique burger for the contest, and customers will vote on their favorites over the course of April, based on five categories: patty, bun, toppings, creativity, and customer service.

Registration is now open for restaurants who want to battle it out for the chance to win a trophy and a year’s worth of bragging rights. If you are a restaurant interested in participating, please fill out the form on our website once you have created your unique burger:

Sixteen03 Live Comedy Show

Tomorrow, January 26th head over to Sixteen03 for a night of professional stand up comedy! Your $25 ticket includes a free drink and what is sure to be a gut busting show! You can also purchase a table at $175 that can host up to 8 guests. Come hungry, there will be gourmet pizza for purchase by the infamous Gregorio DiDonna. Seating is first come first serve but the first person in your party to arrive is welcome to save seats for your group. Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 8pm. Comedians for the evening will be Kevin Cahak, Nathan Hults and Jerry Irby.

Jimmy V’s Trivia

Thursday, January 25th at 7:30 pm is General Knowledge Trivia at Jimmy V’s. It is free to play, but spots fill up quickly so get there early to reserve your spot!

Little Kids, Big World: Dinomen!

Building snowman outside is fun, but building dinomen inside is even better! Hear a story about dinosaurs in snow and make your own dinomen.

Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the free interactive learning series “Little Kids, Big World” at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. These interactive 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are asked to meet at the east entrance information desk.
The event will be this Saturday, January 27th at 10 am and 11 am and Tuesday, January 30th at 10 am.

Ballroom Dance Basics

Thursday, February 1st from 6:30-7:30 the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Library is hosting their next Ballroom Dance Basics lesson, this time Argentine Tango! An experienced instructor from Northern Plains Dance will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals.

Ballroom dancing is a great way to relieve stress, boost your mood, and stay active. It is also a fun and social activity you can enjoy with friends, family, or strangers. No partner is needed for these lessons either!

Tuesday nights are Gastropub nights at Anima Cucina! Come in from 4:00 pm until close and enjoy half off all beer and order from a special Gastropub menu.

Tonight, Thursday, January 25th is Furry Friends BINGO at Gideon’s Brewing Co. The doors open at 4pm and the fun starts at 6pm.

Movie Night at the Library

Tonight, Thursday, January 26th at 6 PM, the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is showing Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Free and open to all. All movies are shown in the lower level in Meeting Room A. Parents/guardians are responsible for minors attending films. Comfortable seating is available, and fresh popcorn is served. Covered drinks and snacks are welcome.
