Member Dakota Stage Ltd. starts the second half of its Stand-up Comedy season with hilarious headliner, Tommy Thompson, on Friday and Saturday, February 12 & 13 at 8 pm. Tommy Thompson has a brand of comedy that is unique as he is and has all the skills to entertain any crowd. Member Bis-Man Transit will hold three public listening sessions about transit systems in January and February. These events will be free to the public. The purpose of the public listening sessions are to give ridership and the general public a chance to speak on what they would like to see in our public transportation system. An online form will be available for anyone who would like to submit opinions but unable to make the listening events. Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary will address the annual meeting of member AARC (Abused Adult Resource Center) Board of Directors on Monday, Jan 25.  AARC will present a volunteer of the year award. In addition, the meeting will include election of three AARC board members.  The public is invited to the meeting, which begins with a social at 6:30 pm. The meeting formally begins at 7 pm. Downtown News
The Bismarck Mandan Food Cooperative is one step closer to opening their retail grocery store.  On January 19, the Renaissance Zone Authority approved their application for their space south of the Bismarck Tribune in the former Snoopers Tons of Fun location.  The application now goes to the City Commission for approval.  The Co-op plans to be open by Spring 2016.  For more information visit: http://bismanfoodcoop.com/
