Mark Your Calendars!

Event season is arriving! The 7th Annual Downtowners Art & Wine Walk Early-Bird tickets will be going on sale Friday, May 11 at 9am.  Enjoy this wonderful event while walking to different downtown locations, sampling varietals of wine and getting your passport stamped. Each location will showcase a local artist or musician. 22 locations will be participating in this year’s Art & Wine Walk, including 6 first-time businesses! Tickets for the event are $45/person for early-bird + processing, you must be 21 to participate. Early-bird prices will increase starting May 25. Proceeds from the Downtowners Art & Wine Walk will go to the Downtowners non-profit to promote betterment and revitalization efforts of our historic Downtown for the entire community to enjoy. Ticket usually sell out, so be sure to get them early!

We are also excited to announce we are now selling Downtowners German Days tickets online for the first-time ever! You can now buy VIP, Full-Event and Day Passes. The Downtowners German Days Presented by Volkswagen of Bismarck will be held July 12-14 at the Historic Depot Lot.


Bismarck Candidate Forums
Dakota Media Access now has Bismarck Candidate Forums hosted by the League of Women voters online for viewing.  Bismarck City Commission and Bismarck Mayoral forums took place April 30 at the Russell Reid Auditorium at the ND Heritage Center.  There are currently two seats open for Bismarck City Commission with four candidates running, and three candidates running for Bismarck Mayor.  The election will be held June 12, be sure to bring proper identification to voting sites.

Makewell Workshop Marathon
Makewell is hosting a Workshop Marathon, a first-ever event made up of 10 amazing workshops all in the same day, back-to-back featuring the most talented makers + small business owners in the area. From learning to make your own unique candle, to rocking your Instagram account, improving customer service, to experiencing a coffee cupping. Get tickets before they sell out. From baristas to photographers, Makewell is a local community for makers, doers, and risk-takers committed to helping each other connect, learn, and grow.

Stamp Out Hunger 
Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Member MSA United Way will be supporting Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 12 in Bismarck from 8am-7pm. Place your food by your mailbox and local volunteers and postal workers will collect donations to give to local pantries! If you will be out of town that day and would still like to help, you can drop off your food donations at theBismarck post office, from now through May 12.
