Downtown Design Guidelines

In 2015, the City of Bismarck Community Development  Department in conjunction with the Bismarck Renaissance Zone Authority, reached out to the community’s design professional to get feedback on new Downtown Design Guidelines.  City staff and stakeholders also participated and a public hearing was held before commissioners approved the design guidelines for the Downtown area.  Anyone wishing to improve or revitalize a property Downtown, especially exterior renovations, should take a look at the guidelines and consult the City of BIsmarck for Design Review.  The guidelines ensure that the historic nature and feel of Bismarck’s downtown continue to flourish and as a result be a productive tax generator for the community.  If you’re interested in reading the guidelines you may review it here or contact the City of Bismarck.http://www.bismarcknd.gov/documentcenter/view/23000
