What’s Next? 5th & Main Ave
Last week Bismarck’s NDDOT ND Moves demonstration project wrapped up. The short-term project used low-cost materials to test pedestrian bulb-outs and highly visible crosswalks. NDDOT will now look at the before and after data and study whether the project improved safety and accessibility, and how the configuration may have affected traffic etc. Next the data will be presented to the Bismarck City Commission for consideration.

Downtown Events August 16 Urban Harvest Downtown Bismarck
Come join the the YP’s 3rd Annual Young Professionals Day. This year the YP will be helping to revamp buildings at Sleepy Hollow, putting a new shine on the “Welcome to Bismarck” sign at 26th & Main, and bringing the United Blood Services bloodmobile on site to gives attendees an opportunity to give blood. YP will be sponsoring a BBQ after the service events. Anyone 21-39 years old is welcome for any of the events throughout the day. RSVP
Makewell is bringing the ultimate short film experience to the heart of Downtown Bismarck with (3) local short films projected in classic outdoor 1960’s style on Friday, August 24 at 5th and Thayer (projected on the Provident Life Building). North Dakota Humanities Council event GameChanger, an annual ideas festival focused on a major event or issue significantly changing the face of our world. This year’s focus is titled ‘The Pursuit of Health & Happiness’, explores how the Humanities can impact medical care and why creating a meaningful life full of purpose has more health benefits than ever thought before, and listen to profound authors and speakers.
