Enjoy Beautiful Downtown Bismarck the evening of Aug 20 while you sample unique wine selections, enjoy appetizers, and take in all that our community has to offer at each of our many great business locations.
Get your Wine Walk treasure map stamped at each location for a chance to win prizes! Make it to all the locations to be eligible for the Grand Prize! Walk the historic streets, enjoy artists set up throughout downtown, and patronize our small business community’s Downtown Businesses.
Tickets for the event are $35/person in advance, $45/person for Downtown Supporter tickets, plus Eventbrite processing–you must be 21 to participate. Proceeds from the Downtowners Wine Walk will go to the Downtowners non-profit to promote betterment and revitalization efforts of our historic Downtown for the entire community to enjoy.

Applications are now open for the Economic Resiliency Grant! The Economic Resiliency Grant Program helps entrepreneurs and small businesses by growing consumer confidence. Small businesses in ND may qualify for grant funding of up to $50K supporting investments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Allowable expenses should be items that stop/slow the spread of COVID-19 and increase consumer confidence Expenses in these areas may be reimbursed if purchased after ND March shutdowns with proper documentation.

Used Adult Non-Fiction Book Sale!
The Friends of the Bismarck Public Library will be selling books outside on the library plaza from 10 AM to 1 PM on Friday, August 14. Nonfiction titles for adults, including history, religion, general nonfiction, cookbooks, and more will be for sale for $1.00 per pound. Proceeds benefit the programs and services of the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.

Bismarck/Mandan Blue Zones Project
Bismarck-Mandan is hosting Blue Zone Project (BZP) the week of August 10-14, 2020.
Blue Zones Project is a community well-being initiative that aims to make the healthy choice the easy choice. They engage individuals, policy makers, and organizations throughout a community – including worksites, schools, restaurants, grocery stores, and faith-based organizations – to bring best practices and expert resources for improving well-being. There will be several focus groups for the community to give input on how the Bismarck-Mandan area can be made healthier.
The project is brought to Bismarck-Mandan by the Preventative Health and Health Services Block Grant and the North Dakota Department of Health.
