August 11th Downtown Bismarck News

Thank You!

Shops and Hops was last Thursday, and despite the heat, we still had an impressive turn out! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, all the businesses who participated, and to the CRA Group and Rolf Eggers for letting us use their space for check-in (hint, the space is available for lease). A huge thank you as well to McQuades Distributing for providing the drinks. We look forward to seeing you all next year!

Ride Downtown with BisParks BCycle

Looking for a fun transportation option in downtown Bismarck? Look no further than Bismarck’s bike share program operated by Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD). Rent a bike at the Peace Park station next to the BPRD office (400 E. Front Ave.) and explore downtown or ride our community’s extensive shared-use trail system.

Traditional pedal bikes are available for rent from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The fee is $5 for the first hour and $.07 for each additional minute. Additional stations are located at Sertoma Park, Pioneer Park and BSC Aquatic Wellness Center.

It’s simple to ride. Go to one of the four bike stations and then follow the steps to check out a bike using the BCycle app. You must be at a station and checking out a bike to set up an account on the app. Learn more at www.bisparks.org/bcycle.

The Capital Gallery’s new Beneath the Artist’s Hand exhibit, running August through September, features their ICON Artists who have been with The Capital Gallery since their founding. We are celebrating these five North Dakota artists who they named to their “ICON Hall of Fame” in October 2022 for their longevity as artists, the quality of their work, their contributions to the success of The Capital Gallery, and their far-reaching impact on the world of art.
