Mural, mural on the wall..

Local Artist, Melissa Gordon is turning what ‘could have’ been a white wall into a beautiful mural. Glance Spa and Salon owner Andrea Birst was approved by the Downtown Design Review board a few weeks ago to complete a mural on the north side of their building on 4th Street. The wall was recently exposed after the 411 building was purchased and demolished. The mural Gordon is currently working on symbolizes beauty with mother earth and father sky including value words hidden in the mural. Gordon hopes to finish the painting in Mid-September with a charitable wall reveal party mid-September hosted by Glance Spa & Salon (more details to come). Donations are always welcome. Take a stroll downtown Bismarck and check out the progress!

Downtown News

Proximal 50 may soon be coming to Downtown Bismarck.  Owners of the former One Source Lighting building on Mandan and Broadway are well into the Renaissance Zone rehabilitation and lease process, as well as design services.  Initial project cost estimates are nearly $600,000 to rehabilitate the almost 13,000 sqft warehouse built by International Harvester in 1929 as a “service station”.  Proximal 50 currently has one location in North Bismarck, operating a gym with additional health and wellness services.
