Development Proposals Due April 30

Proposals for the redevelopment of City-owned parcel(s) in Downtown Bismarck south of the Radisson Hotel are due by April 30 at 4pm.  The city issued an RFP (request for proposals) for the vacant site for a mixed used development.  After the RFP closes, the city may conduct developer interviews the week of May 7.  Developer selection and consideration of the proposal is scheduled for the May 22 Bismarck City Commission meeting, with contract development scheduled for June 2018.  The vacant lot has been off the tax rolls for over 40 years after historic structures were removed as part of a federal “urban renewal” project.  A development would once again put the property in private hands, generating development and tax dollars.
