Downtowners Attend National Main Street Conference in Boston

The Downtowners had an awesome time at the National Main Street Conference in Boston! This four day event hosted 2,000 people and it was so much fun connecting with other downtown folks and attending different educational sessions. We learned so much and loved getting to explore the City of Boston on top of it.

Connelly Appointed to Bismarck City Commission

The appointment came at a special City Commission meeting on Friday, March 24. He will fill the unexpired portion of a term that will ends in June 2024.

Two New Liquor Licenses Granted for Downtown

Two new liquor licenses have been granted to two new downtown restaurants/bars. The Domain, in what was formerly the Shelter Belt/The Pond. The other license granted was the Jousting Lemur in what was formerly Terra Nomad.

Better Bismarck Grant Applications Open

The City of Bismarck is accepting applications for funds that have been raised through the Better Bismarck campaign. Better Bismarck is a campaign created to address some of the root causes of crisis homelessness: addiction and mental health issues.

“This project wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of so many people and organizations,” said Renae Moch, Public Health Director. “We could not have done this without that investment. It is humbling to be part of a project that so many people recognize as vital to the continued health of our growing community.”

Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on Monday, May 1, 2023. More info on the criteria for applicants can be found online.
